Autumn / Winter Fashion

Mod 60's Rainwear.

I just love the look of the "Mod" 1960's rainwear. Its so colourful, bright and glossy. It brightens what usually is, a dull wet dark day. I thought I'd add a few example pics of some items I'd love to own or make. They are simple in design, almost innocent. I love the big buttons too that comes with the era.

L'Officiel Paris 1966.

How I would love to find this one. Recently, watching "I dream of Jeanie" Mrs bellows was seen wearing something very similar, if not the same as this. If only more people brightened the day in more colour. Where do you find Vinyl / PVC fabrics like this?

Where can I get that striped / tartan PVC fabric?

McCalls Magazine 1966.

Flair 1969.

One of my own great finds from Ebay. A real cutie 1970's raincoat. Its the detail of the print that makes this one. Its in perfect condition.

The girly advertisements are so sweet.

The artwork is detailed and so sign of the times.
Have a look at the scarf on the girl - so Hippy!

the Raglan Coat..

"Large collared, raglan sleeved coat in street length or three- quarter length. Double breasted coat with long sleeves, patch pockets. Back belted coat with top stitch trim. Buttonless coat with self tie belt. Buttonless coat with bracelet length sleeves !"

I enjoy the artwork on this Winter fashion, especially the lady with the large check coat and wide brim hat. There is also the very stylish lady to the right with the white evening coat & gloves.
